HealthHub Terms and Conditions

1. Intended Use

By providing you with access to HealthHub, Alliance Health intends for you to use the site for general education and health screening purposes only. It is not for use in an emergency. This site does not provide medical advice. In an emergency, please follow your provider crisis plan or go to the nearest Behavioral Health Urgent Care, Emergency Room, or contact 911.

2. Applicable Laws

Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (“HIPAA”), 42 USC 1320d et seq., 45 CFR Parts 160 & 164, as amended by the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act, the Federal Confidentiality of Substance Use Disorder Records 42 USC 290dd-2, 42 CFR Part 2 (“Part 2”), and North Carolina General Statutes Chapter 122C; Section 230 of the Communications Act of 1934, enacted as part of the Communications Decency Act of 1996; the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998; any other provisions of the law that may be enacted and that affect your use and access to sites or services made available to you through your association with Alliance Health. 

3. Who Can Use HealthHub

Alliance Health provides access to HealthHub by agreement with WebMD. HealthHub is an educational website that is not meant for children under 18. Alliance Health is informed that WebMD Ignite does not knowingly collect or request personal information from children under the age of 18. There may be times when a minor over the age of 13 may be seeking certain services on their own and the need arises to access information. If you cannot agree to the terms of use, please do not use HealthHub. 

4. Third Party Content

HealthHub is not operated by Alliance Health. HealthHub contains information provided by WebMD that you are accessing through a link or hyperlink from Alliance’s website and is considered Third Party Content. Alliance members who choose to use HealthHub should be aware that HealthHub’s site may also provide hyperlinks to third party websites or access to third party content. Alliance Health does not control, endorse, or guarantee content found in HealthHub or any linked sites. Alliance Health does not warrant that any product descriptions or content contained in or linked to from Alliance Health’s site or at HealthHub is accurate, current, reliable, complete, or error-free. You agree that AllianceHealth is not responsible for any content, associated links, resources, or services associated with HealthHub or any linked third-party site. You further agree that Alliance Health is not liable for any loss or damage of any sort associated with your use of HealthHub or other third-party content. Links and access to these sites are provided for your convenience only. Accessing HealthHub and any third-party links may lead to websites or social media pages which are not under the control of Alliance Health. Alliance Health assumes no responsibility whatsoever for the contents on any links to third-party websites. Alliance Health has no control over and accepts no liability in respect of materials, products, or services available on any website which is not under the control of Alliance Health. Alliance Health cannot be held liable for the accuracy of such links or their contents. The publication of links to third-party websites does not imply that Alliance Health agrees with the information that can be obtained through these sites. Such links are merely intended to help users of Alliance Health’s website through HealthHub to obtain further information. 5. Copyright Information - Alliance Health’s websites and the content within the websites are the property of Alliance Health or its suppliers and are protected by United States and State of North Carolina copyright laws and international treaty provisions. The compilation, organization, and display of the content as well as all software and inventions used on and in connection with Alliance Health’s websites are the exclusive property of Alliance Health. Alliance Health reserves all rights in the websites and their content not specifically granted in any agreements with Alliance Health or in the Terms and Conditions of Use. Alliance Health does not have any copyrights to the content made available on HealthHub.

6. Use of Content

You may view, download and print contents from Alliance Health’s website subject to the following conditions: (a) the content may be used solely for information purposes; and (b) the content may not be modified or altered in any way. You may not republish, distribute, prepare derivative works, or otherwise use the content other than as explicitly permitted herein. You may not frame or utilize framing techniques to enclose any trademark, logo, or other proprietary information (including images, text, page layout, or form) of Alliance Health without the express written consent of Alliance Health. You may not use any meta tags or any other “hidden text” utilizing Alliance Health’s name or trademarks without the express written consent of Alliance Health. You may not use any Alliance Health logo or other proprietary graphic or trademark as part of the link without express written permission. You do not acquire any ownership rights to any content in Alliance Health’s websites. Any unauthorized use terminates the permission granted by Alliance Health. If you choose to use HealthHub, you may be required to follow HealthHub’s restrictions on use of content.

Alliance Health intends that the material and information contained on HealthHub is for general information purposes only. Alliance Health has had no part in the drafting and development of HealthHub’s sites and their content. You should not rely upon the material or information on Alliance Healths or on HealthHub as a basis for making any business, legal or any other decisions. 8. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Alliance Health, its directors, officers, employees, attorneys and agents (“Indemnitees”) against all claims, expenses, liabilities, losses, costs and damages, including reasonable attorney’s fees, that the Indemnitees may incur (i) in connection with your use of Alliance Health’s websites, HealthHub or any hyper-linked third party website or (ii) resulting from content you supply.
